I hate when teachers assign supposed "fun" assignments that attempt to embrace all the primes. Par example, Science and math teachers giving writing assignments, esp. ones involving any modicum of creativity (because they usually only get a modicum). They are not fun. They do not help you learn math. They are annoying chores that have to be done to ( Read more... )

It's not Ms. Boto. Ms. Boto is fantastic. Even Aladdin admits that he likes Ms. Boto. It's not even the lesson; it might not be inspiring, but I'm interested. I can't find fault with Lit itself. I don't know, maybe it was the self-doubt and listlessness that I acquired over the summer in addition to more mundane classes and it will pass, or maybe it's something else.

It's just as if I've lost my connections to everything I ought to care about. It's almost like not existing. And if it weren't for the awkwardness the accumulated in my writing world last year, I probably would brush it aside more.

At any rate, I don't think it's dehilibating or anything. It just seems wrong that things seem wrong, so I have to push through this vague sensation of disease.

Anyway, you're lovely.

Lit :). I always go there in the mornings, and no mind flop will stop me. Bwa. And then over to Jordan's, all of 6 steps.

Oh, and I realized I meant dis-ease, not disease like ill.

Wow. You know, this is really a change; usually I'm the one who's being all angsty and jazz about lit and so far I don't mind it too much. Granted, I have formula poetry with a passion (metered poetry especially) and our Beowulf group was concentrating on amusing ourselves rather than doing the assignment. And there are things I would rather be doing. But there's enough stuff in it that I actually like (read: Tolkien) and I'm sitting next to Abby and Kathryn and Max and we can mutter and pass notes and all that jazz that I don't completely hate it. Yet.

Well, I still have tons of affection for Lit. I don't MIND being there. I LIKE being in Lit in a certain way. I'm even quasi-interested in what we're doing a little. But there's all this other stuff layered along with it. And I know that it'll probably pass; I'm counting on it.
