Not a dumb question! We did feel the earthquake - well, my boyfriend did, I was still mostly asleep at 4 am. He said our apartment must have swayed about a foot. Haven't felt any of the aftershocks.

You are right about Cuba Street, in some aspects it is like a parade or some sort of weird pageant.

To me it provides both fun and nervous times. I love seeing the all the different things people wear but sometimes it just makes you feel a bit shit about yourself.

I have heard lots of people say the food is better here actually which is nice.

I am glad to here that you have mostly enjoyed your stay.

Pretty much, yeah. I do get inspired by what people wear, but sometimes I get hung up on possibly doing things wrong, which is silly.
