I'm still mulling over our whirlwind North America trip. I didn't expect Willamsburg to be so low-key. I'm sure it costs more to live in Brooklyn than the fixie brigade lets on, but overall it felt less exclusive and cashed-up than hipster neighborhoods in Melbourne and Auckland.
