oddly, i just got a book of louise gluck's poetry - vita nova - like, yesterday. i love her.

Glück must be in the air...I was just reading a little bit from this book about 5 minutes ago.

I adore her.

I was going to post one of her poems on my blog soon, but now it will just look like I was copying you...but I suppose I could do worse. ;-)

Gluck is still a mixed bag for me. I'm trying to read more and more of her, because she's an instructor at BU and I'm operating under the illusion that I might get in.

Hmmm, her profile doesn't say. When The Wild Iris was published in 92, she was at Williams College, but she's definitely listed on their faculty now.

i'm uncertain about a lot of her poems, but that one's a sockfull.

i don't really know what that means, but i think i mean it.
