well I am back from the dr. In the morning I go pick up 2 antibiotics, sulfamethoxazole/trimethoprim and vibramycin. Both used in treating Staph and MRSA :( I have cellulitis and highly suspected MRSA. The dr. didn't test for the MRSA but he is treating it like that's what it is since my other antibiotic isn't working well.
This is so shitty.

I had J. look at your pics earlier today (he's a licensed tattoo artist, remember...) and just from the one I showed him, he suspected a staph infection at the very least. I had him look to see if maybe you had developed an ink allergy (people do that sometimes after having tats for years for unknown reasons just out of the blue - it's very rare but it does happen). I didn't think it was - usually those cause tiny blisters, and he didn't think so either. The infection could have come from the shop - if the ink was contaminated by touching the tip of the bottle to something not sterile, if your artist was sick and wasn't wearing a face mask, if the furniture you were on wasn't properly sanitized or if they used anything on it that had been "double dipped" in - vasoline, A&D ointment, you name it. :(
At any rate, the best thing for you is a sulfa based antibiotic, and he gave you one. I hope it gets better and fast, but keep a close eye on it.

Thanks again, I'm glad you showed it to J and he felt it was not good either lol. It's good to know I at least somewhat know what I'm talking about. :)
