The Fit is separate from the console. It's a game and the balance board and the CD with the game on it come as a packaged set. The Wii console is about $250.00 and the Wii Fit game (that has all the workout games on it) with the balance board at Wal-Mart runs about $89.00, IF you can find one. I've been looking since it came out last June and haven't found one yet. They can be had on the internet and eBay, but they're double or triple what they should cost and I REFUSE to pay that much.

Supposedly it can take the weight of non-Barbie doll sized women. I'm still looking for one, and as soon as I find one, I'll let you know how it works. :)

I agree with everything she said above. However, we got one for Chritsmas and it DOES handle overweight. I weigh a lot more than you do and it doesn't break for me! It's pretty cool and I like it a lot. The best way to get one is to call all of the GameStop's every morning to see if they got one in that day. The one in Edmond actually encourages you to keep calling back every day until they get one because as soon as they are in stock, they are sold out.

If you only plan to use it for exercise, I would invest into workout DVDs and workout equipment (like small weights and stuff) rather than buy the Wii because it can get pricey once you get the console itself and then the wii fit. If you plan to use it for games as well, then it would be more worth it.

The fit actually holds 300lbs per the package. I think the GameStop on 15th had them for a hile. You might also check the one in heritage park mall because people will forget about there. Also, check Sears.

I see them as a package on Craigslist a lot also.
