Our house just got struck by lightening!!!!  There was the loudest boom and flash I have EVER heard during a storm and it scared the fucking shit out of me!  Ten seconds after that, the weather radio went off.  So much for a warning ( Read more... )

This is what I woke up to find this morning after the weather radio woke me up around 10am.  These pictures are in the valley just below our house.  This stream is usually about 2-3 feet wide and only 2-3 inches deep.  It washed part of the road out.

We did not leave Madison on time last night and it totally sucked!  We left the club at 12:45 and it was barely raining.  Picked up Tristan at the Kundesoll residence and by then the roads were starting to get slick.  By the time we got to the beltline it was worse and when we reached Verona we were doing about 25 mph.  About 6 miles outside of Mt ( Read more... )

This day has gone from bad to worse.  The pipes are now frozen to the utility sink as well....it wasn't frozen just 2 hours ago.  AND...Caley called, halfway to our house, she has a flat tire.  Keith just headed out to put on the spare and get her limped back here.  The weather is so bad that without complete protective gear, frostbite will set in ( Read more... )

Well it's a good damn thing we decided to stay home last night....we would never have gotten back into our driveway at 3 am!  Woke up to a 4 ft wall of drifted snow across the driveway in 3 different spots.   We have a guy out plowing it right now as it's too heavy for the snowblower to manage.  I have reached my breaking point....there is nothing ( Read more... )

I can't find my mailbox....it is gone.  Where it once was, is a 10 foot wall of snow.  I'm not sure it is even still in the spot where it should be.  It has been hit by the plow already and was bent so bad it was being propped up by snow.  So there is a very good chance I could dig for it but never find it because it's no longer where I left it ( Read more... )
