Sitting in my new living room chair, I look out of my tenth floor window at my new view. It is amazing to me that the city I see is the city I LIVE IN!!! So far things are put away and settled but not finished. Today at work I noticed the paper was opened to the obituary section of an old paper. I asked my boss if they knew some one that had died and that I was sorry. He replied that he did not know any one but that some one had written a very funny one that he found humor in. Last night the discussion about selling my car came up. I think I have some one to buy it, which is both exciting and sad. I am excited to no longer have a car payment, pay for gas, and have some money to go towards rent. I am sad, however, because Scandalous Jane and myself have been through a lot together. Since I have been doing so poorly on my reading list for the summer, I have started to make up for it by working on my movie list. This weekend I was able to catch a couple movies that weren't on my list, but I am happy I saw them none the less. Some one at work, who is not a big reader, asked me to say why I read so much. Some times it is to learn something, sometimes it is for entertainment and other times it is for understanding of something. I would say the most common reason, though, is to escape.
