Accents

I often wonder why movie writers and directors feel the need to have their actors use accents when they aren't very good at them. Does it really add to a movie when the person can't stay in character with their accent the entire movie? Wouldn't it be JUST as effective if they didn't have the accent? Would their character be MORE effective as I ( Read more... )

I also saw Dukes of Hazzard, but failed to notice Jessica's accent...

um did you fail to notice b/c you could only notice what she was wearing? or should I saw what she was NOT wearing?!?! It was HORRIBLE! Although a movie that there are NO accents and is fabulous is Garden State but I am sure you would know nothing about that ;)

Kourt I think this entire E town viewing has officially become a obsession/addiction. Please do seek professional help by whatching another movie.

Ok, and also because of what she wasn't wearing.
I've owned Garden State for sometime now, but I will admit that I have yet to see it... I'm ashamed...
