Haven't updated here in a while, been busy writing. Got a job working for a culture magazine and I've been trying to track down people for interviews. But going out today to relax...look at some furniture, see some old friends, etc...etc... just glad to get out to something other than grocery shopping. -
Christmas
As time goes on I realize how little I actually miss "Christmas". I went to the mall last week and watched the bustling people, and with my new found people skills thanks to my course I've come to realize how unhappy and even pissed off most people are. So Manda's Dad coming to visit this weekend. Ought to be fun. Been cleaning to prepare for his arrival, you know, doing the little things like cleaning the moldings and what not. So had a good week :) Got some work done around the house, some quality time in with the family of friends. Finally got a family game night instituted again and have been feeling pretty good despite allergies and one down day this month with some sort of cold. Life
So yeah, I've been running myself ragged the last little bit. Early morning physio, late nights because of this heat and trying to get everything done in between. My head feels ready to split open, but other than that I'm doing all right. I'm alive and healthy and that's the main thing. -

So yeah, life's going at the same pace. Been working on a new book idea, submitted a couple of poems, and I'm gonna be putting Lost Time into a contest to (hopefully) afford a new washer (mine died last night). Not that I'm counting on winning, but one can hope, eh ( Read more... ) -

Why do people mourn those they don't actually know in any way shape or form except in the waty the media portrays them?
