So much for Noah having an easier time at the Snyders with Reid there! Poor Ethan thinking Noah would go be with Luke. Kids logic is heartbreaking isn't it? But nice save by the good doctor and his trusty penlight there! Although now Noah's got to go back for a movie night with Ethan - something he did with Luke. That's going to be painful!
Great scene between Holden and Reid there. I guess they have more in common than they realised! Both their partners thought they were cocky and arrogant at first and they both see people as they are. Wonder what kind of scene Reid and Lucinda would've had if she had stuck around at the farm?
Maybe Reid is softening around the edges and he just doesn't know it yet? Taking Noah to the Snyders and comforting Ethan didn't further his goals any. Or maybe it was already there? Who says having snark oozing out of every pore means that you can't care a little too? Hmmmm?

I doubt you watched the show back when Holden debuted. As a kid, I did, and I can tell you, Holden initially was a lot more like Reid than Noah. He had it going on, and he knew it! And had great fun getting under a young Lily's skin.
Noah isn't anywhere near ready to deal with his own grief, let alone Ethan's, so what was a nice visit turned somewhat traumatic for him. And yes, it will be hard for him to return, especially facing the prospect of another such scene.
Thanks for reading, Anne!

Lovely to have Reid's POV on the visit... And really interesting how Reid seems to pick up on similarities between Holden and Noah...
Reid thinks that Luke softened his edges, but really I think they have been that way all along...

I loved it that you made Reid hide in the kitchen. It's so his character. And the food of course ;) The talk with Holden was brilliant and the way Reid handled the Ethan situation was even better.
I honestly would have loved to see some interaction with Reid and Lucinda though...that would have been interesting. ;)
And concerning the ending of this chapter. I don't think Noah hates Reid because he's gotta watch a movie with Ethan. I think he's angry with him because Reid brought him there in the first place and Noah's not stupid. I bet he saw through the whole song and dance....that it was Reid's idea.
Anyway...great update and I'm looking forward to read more!

I so wish we'd had Lucinda/Reid interaction on the show. It didn't happen here simply because I am *terrible* at writing Lucinda, so I mostly avoid attempts to do so. Not that I'm great at writing the others, but with Lucinda it's such a struggle.
Thank you for reading; the next chapter is posted. :)
