"You've met with a terrible fate, haven't you?"
It was like a simple pang within the heart. Funny how those little things crept up. She'd thought it had simply been a brief glitch until it hadn't gone away. It simply sat there, the weight of reality staining her insides, much the way paint could stain canvas.
Getting to Sinnoh was about as simple for her as it had been for Cyrus. Human forms made it convenient, even with the odd looks placed in her direction. But she was propelled by what she felt was a most considerably wrong sensation. Something had gone wrong. Or if it hadn't already, it would soon. And she was too late to stop it.
But what?
She must have stood for hours, or whatever she felt like were, and stared at his back. She hadn't seen what he'd done, yet all the same, her suspicions were high, her nerves frayed, her deep-seated fears taking root in the very pit of her stomach.

And in that moment, something had changed in Cyrus. Previously a pacifist (although his adherence to that belief had been debatable), he came to embrace war, destruction, death, and to slaughter those foes without mercy, without concience, without regret.
Those who fought with him escaped his wrath, although he had made it clear that he had no care for them. And he never seemed to, existing only to destroy those who had taken the universe from him.
The closest he came was a grudging respect, and Marth was one of those he saw as worthy of it. To come across Marth in that condition, leaning over his shield and decidedly wounded, forced a rare hand extended in comeradery. "You will not fall here," he told the young prince. "Come with me."

He looked up to Cyrus and gratefully took his hand, trying to pull himself to his feet. "Thank you," he spoke carefully around a cough. "Where are we standing? Will we win...?"

"...I told you not to interfere..." he muttered. Though it had been necessary to eliminate the Aura master, taking lives wasn't made easier by that, although it only manifested in him being quieter than usual. His face remained expressionless, stern.
