Nope, no Ranger. Sadly, I've kind of fallen out of LoTRs in the last few years. That might switch when "The Hobbit" comes out, but you know how it is: obsessions come and go--just the fan remains!
Oh I completely understand! Since the 2004 film King Arthur came out, I've been obsessed with Clive Owen and Arthur anyways. *laughs* But I still fancy the Ranger from time to time. *gg*
It was a LOT of work! 1 ton of rock all together by the time everything was done.
I have about 34 baby goldfish to put in there next, but I'm letting them grow up a wee bit more. Plus, I have to block off the skimmer box or they'll get a horrible trip through the waterfall. Oh noes!
You toss one in whatever size body of water and it releases a chemical that kills the larvae. One lasts about a month. Ponds, whiskey barrel water features, horse and cattle troughs ... you name it.
Pip is here and apparently surrounded by Viggo icons! (like I should expect anything different here, I know. I just feel all out of the club. but the fweller is also pretty so it's okay.)
Your pond is glorious. I would like to move into that little boat. :D Heart for nose would be rather inconvenient in a rational sort of way. Very, very inconvenient. Though I don't know - maybe we'd be able to see heart disease before you died? anyway. MONKEY. (my moose still wins. give me a couple days and I'll post some pictures somewhere, too.)
"IPS friends" is that code for "those crazy people who keep track of my fic and request pictures of strange things"?
Don't feel out of the club, Pip. I don't have a ton of lj friends who cavort about in here, but all of them were Viggo/LoTRs fans because that's when/why I started my lj in the first place. As you can see, it's pretty dormant.
Monkeys! I love my baby monkeys! *pets*
The lion's name is Aslan and the tiger's name is Tigger. *g*
The boat is from a friend who lives in a lakeshore house--he bought it for me because he said my pond needed a sailboat. And it really sails around in there ... has a rudder to steer it and everything!
HERE I am! Sorry it took me so long to find my way over here! It's a busy day of rearranging my mother's house for her, and I only just got a break. *is le tired* (maybe i will take a nap and zen fire ze missiles)
Best boat EVER. I agree with your friend. All ponds need a sailboat.
I obviously started my LJ around LOTR time, too, but apparently I was in the wrong section of the fandom, because I've long since lost all those friends. (that's okay. I'm done with Monaboyd.) Or maybe it's just that I only just learned how to make friends who are awesome beyond the bounds of normal fandom. (Like ponds and monkeys. I hear that isn't normal fandom behavior.)
Back to the slave labor. I beg of you, how will I move this queen bed by myself? *sighs and leaves*
Amazing I have been so tempted to add this type of look, but smaller version, in my courtyard.........the corner would be a perfect spot, but not sure as they keep warning about keeping any standing water at a minimum due to mozzies.........
There are tons of chemicals to treat water and keep ALL mosquitoes out of it, plus there are "mosquito fish" that will keep your water clear of the wee beasties.
Even a simple lined whiskey barrel is great fun. I've got two of them. Never even thought to take a photo of them and I've even got glass floats in there!
I have the perfect corner....... My courtyard is Asian in theme so it would really fit in.........the corner is where the kitchen and end of the garage come together.......I could see that so easy.......... That part of the courtyard are ferns and other plants that fit.....with some lovely ground cover.......I just added a lovely small wood deck to the front door where an ugly step had been.......it is a SMALL deck which fits the entire theme beautifully I think I might tackle some sort of fountain next......... Thanks!!!!
