The Spice GIrls might be a good example of the male based idea of today's feminism, but I think it might not be appropriate... actually, it might be completely appropriate because it is a good example of what women are fed to believe is "girl power" when really, it's just a bunch of guys mannipulating their image for their own benefit. It doesn't, however, deal with the oppression issue.
