Yeah, I hear ya. There are "friends" who seem to delight in saying "you don't need to lose any weight!" and "aww, just have ONE BEER!" or otherwise giving me shit over food choices.

Ah! While discussing our winter weight gains at D5, I hope I didn't say anything non-supportive like "oh, but your beer belly is so CUTE!" Nah, I think we mutually commiserated about our winter slackin'.

The bone spur on my heel has been a great weight loss tool. It's so painful to walk now that I pretty much bicycle everywhere, even in the rain, because it hurts too much to walk the stairs to the subway (you'll see me using the elevators.) Already lost some flab. I don't recommend trying the bone spur system of fat loss, even though it works.

How do you survive at the CBC when you're trying to cut back on calories?

Actually, I'm giving up all alcohol for the month of May. Completely.

So far I'm well into Day 2 of the 31 days of being "dry". Not bad so far.

I figure this will definitely help accelerate my weight loss (as long as I don't compensate by eating more...)

To answer your question, if I know I'm going to CBC later in the evening, I compensate, but eating considerably less earlier in the day. Sure, I guess I get a little hungry by early afternoon, but I push thru and then I can have those extra CBC calories.
