The last time I updated was May 2022. Here are quick notes from my Peru trip that I thought I posted and then thought I lost and then rediscovered, with an end of year update to follow.

We began the trip on my last day of work, Friday September 30th. I left immediately from my farewell party for my last day at UCB!

Remarkable that it's been over a full year since I last posted.

This year was filled with a lot of emotions. What did we even do? I got my first dose of the vaccine in April.

We survived the wedding in Chicago, returned home, and I started my new job. It's been a slow start, and I have to admit that I have mixed feelings. I found out that my former company deducted $25K as a surprise from my 401K match for not sticking around for 3 years, so that was shitty. What has happened since I last posted in July?
COVID fears weened as the warm summer weather brought open restaurants and more things to do in the safe outdoors. But as temperatures have cooled and cases are rising exponentially, everything is shutting down again. I say this from IN, as we're visiting Mark's parents for the day.

March is almost gone and I feel like I've accomplished little, mostly because I'm still somewhat reeling from our imposed quarantine and impending coronavirus infections. It was remarkable to see how quickly the severity of the situation ramped up, and regrettable to see how little our government did to mitigate things.
