Consider this bit of information. It takes 3500 calories to equal a pound. If you can reduce 500 calories a day, whether it be cutting calories consumed or exercising to burn it, you don't have to change much else to lose a pound a week. And with exercise comes increased metabolism and muscle burn more calories, it all works together.
