With something resembling hardware support for function calls, stacks and that sort of thing, it seems sensible to implement a stack for parameters and local variables. On the other hand, there is only hardware support for 8 levels of function call, and there's only 64 bytes of RAM in total, which kind of puts a crimp on recursion.

This experiment has sucessfully demonstrated the necessity of actually reading the instructions rather than winging it, since finding out that one needed to run an NMR spectra several weeks after binning the sample may be considered an error.

Having just consulted the big book of words, it would appear that I may not be able to use both the winch and the rear wipers at the same time!

In order to make it all work, I may have to persuade the winch to pretend to be an air-conditioning unit!
