When Dean wakes up, his leg is throbbing. Shifting around, he reaches for his pills.

Lucifer’s standing by the couch, smiling.

That … that’s not right.

“Hey,” Sam says from somewhere behind him.

Dean keeps his focus on Lucifer. “Sam. You uh … you see Lucifer around lately?”

“No, man.” The relief is thick and obvious. “Not since yesterday.”

Crap. “That’s … That’s awesome, Sammy.”

Lucifer shrugs. “What can I say? Sam was getting boring. Oh! Almost forgot. I brought a very special guest star with me.”

And then he’s right. Freaking. There.

Alastair grins. “Hello, Dean. I’ve missed you.”
