My Dad? He defaults to grouchy on a good day. Yells a lot. Usually at my brother and me when we go off and get in trouble. But he's backed me up when it's really important.

He sounds like he's strict because he cares about you and your brother. That can be a good too.

I know that now. He's just kind of set in his ways and it takes him forever to take anything new seriously. Thought I was crazy when I wanted to cook.

I manage pretty well! Of course, I've got help in my restaurant back home. And ladders.

I wouldn't say a master cook. Chef Gusteau, now he was a master.
