So Liz is the proud owner of a new bumper sticker. The Sticker says “Got Sig?” and she got it from the gun store when she bought her new Sig Saur pistol earlier this month. I'll tell you that Sig is well made too. It cost as much as a low end 9mm, around $375.00 but i think i'll be able to drive tacks with it soon and Liz is not far behind. she wants a sig 9 next or maybe a springfield because of the price. me, I'm looking at an M1A1 HB for that reach out and touch sombody...

When I took the concealed handgun course back in Tejas some years ago, I had the similar experience. We went in 3 person groups to the line to qualify and the group immediately in front of us consisted of a gung-ho Jarhead type complete with Marine Corps t-shirt, a bearded trucker who had several times during the class told his wife to shut up (getting her a handgun permit might not have been his best idea) and the flamboyantly gay owner of a local art gallery. There was little amusement among the first two when the art dealer outshot them in every category. He was also firing something small caliber (maybe.380) but very well made, while they blazed away with much larger caliber pistols. I am sure they felt more manly though.

it was realy funny, when we 1st went to the gun shop i was looking at a Walther P22 but it was just too small. we were helped by this woman who kept trying to talk Liz into a .357 mag snub nose.... anway we rented a sig p220 9 mm and a s&w .38 snub and went to the range. we tried the 9 first and liz did pretty well for a first time shooter. next we tried .38 liz completly missed the target from 15 i did not do much better and liz decited the lady was a moron. oddly enough I put the target all the way back to the 50 foot mark and got a 6 in shoot group...
