What hits you
It's strange, after 5 years, what hurts my heart. I listening to a call in another jurisdiction, a mom and 2 small kids likely spent the night at a rec center. They were using the showers when the staff came in and busted them. I feel so bad for those kids. What a scary, unstable, and chaotic world they live in. Support for the police
Some of those same people who were flying Thin Blue Line flags beat Capitol Police Officer Sicknick to death.
Then didn't shoot him once, in a fit of rage, or out of fear. They each took turns hitting him, getting their licks in, while others cheered.

Elections and politicians
I've been drinking.
I don't understand being excited about a politician.
I can see being excited about regime change. I can see being excited about parts of a candidates platform. But I don't trust American politicians. I think the system rewards bad people.

The Appeal of Fascism
I get the appeal of fascism. The dumbest, most corrupt, most deluded, and most insane have a vote just as powerful as mine. Telling those people to sit down and shut up, and let the adults talk, is certainly appealing. No more Qannon, no more anti-GMO, no more conspiracy theories and bullshit medical quackery.
