I continue to be impressed by the games run by Mind’s Eye Society. They demonstrate a continuous cordial professionalism in the way they operate and, as before - the roleplaying, the costumes and the tendency of almost all the players to remain continuously in-character is unparalleled in my personal experience ( Read more... )

Sounds like you had a decent time! I've never done much in the way of RPG, I played AD&D exactly twice, 20-some years ago, and while I was interested in V:tM, I never got involved in actually playing, rp, or larp-wise. I did get mistaken for a V:tM larper up at Arisia (many) years ago, due to the way I was dressed, amusingly enough.

I'm currently (slowly, frustratingly, entertainingly) working my way through Assassin's Creed III on the Xbox 360. It's fun, but because I'm lousy at video games, it's frustratingly fun. ;)

I occasionally put up with Dungeons and Dragons for my friends, but in general it isn't that interesting to me and I have to really stretch things to make it worth my time. We do, however, have a bi-weekly game that just started which is absolutely fascinating, essentially a combination of Cyberpunk, Fantasy and the Redwall setting by Brian Jacques.

As I'm sure rainingdays can attest, you really don't need to know much in the way of rules to play the vampire game. I barely understand the new rules at all, although I'll be changing that soon. I basically just walk around and act self-important ( ... )
