This year's SheVaCon was the first time I've done a new costume in about a decade. Not for myself, of course, but I'm pretty proud of it.

My cousin lost his wife of over 20 years this afternoon to cancer. There's no good time to lose a loved one, but to lose a spouse on Valentine's Day has to be about as bad as it gets.

I just got word that Blair Grimm, a fandom friend going back to the RoVaCon days has passed. Area fandom is going to miss him.

Just to post it everywhere:

The president just closed BSC for the day and canceled weekend sporting activities. Yeager will hold a "Christmas Year's" Party at the Jauary meeting.

The Blu-Ray edition of Galaxy Quest features a complete set of production notes like the one that Mike and Denise Okuda have done for all the Star Trek movies to date. And they're written by Mike and Denise Okuda! They say they had a ball writing them, including an origin for Alan Rickman's "By Grabthar's Mighty Hammer!"

I'm very proud to have as a member of my friends list time_shark a.k.a. Mike Allen.
