Well, I have been puppy-minding on and off since I last post. He's growing a lot (at 2 weeks he was 1lb 3oz...tonight at 3 weeks 5 days he weighs 2lb 4oz!) and is becoming much more aware of everything. He's a precocious child with increasingly sharp teeth...but he's so lovely ( Read more... )

This, I think, is the full pedigree name of our little Prince. He's back with me for at least the first part of this week. Today has been the first day with an eye open...just the one...like a little pirate. I've been trying to figure out who he reminds me of...and...well...

Well, a week of puppy-minding...and I have grown far too attached. My sister took him back last night and will be bringing him back this evening. Hopefully she will calm down a bit, although I believe she is on the phone at the moment in a panic because he's not eaten all his feed ( Read more... )

Well, of a total of four puppies, only one came out alive. My sister didn't cope with it very well and I think is a bit traumatised. Pearl is also a bit traumatised and so is not suckling the puppy...

Had a feeling it wouldn't be a good night!

7.20 pm - another puppy...this time alive...thank god.

First puppy born at 6.08 pm...not breathing. I spent 25 minutes talking my sister through how to revive it, but no joy. Have a feeling it might not be a happy night...

I passed! All four modules! I don't know what actual marks! And I don't care!

Waiting for results is not fun. I believe I now know how John Hurt felt in Alien. Typically for my course I have had a *results to be posted soon* notice since Friday.
