Anyway. I have more doodles, other artistic stupidity, some con notes and a tiny bit of squee over the end of the season before I seriously need sleep.

( Dammit, I'm always up until the wee hours of the morning doing these kinds of posts -- you'd think I would learn. )

I've never really been to a con, but I've been to LARP events (going to one this weekend actually) and to the Student Roleplaying Nationals and in my experience they are, for the most part, filled with really nice, smart and kind people. There's some not so good ones, sure, but they tend to be in a much smaller proportion to general life and as a while I've always found the Geek community to be a really friendly and open place. And it sounds like you had great fun (though I can't belive how much merchendise you bought! DUDE ( ... )

Yeah. I've been to... eight? Yeah, eight cons now. Four small ones, four HUGE ones, and the people are always about the same level of nice and mellow and overall happy-to-be-alive. I just love that atmosphere. It's the rare kind of place where the destructive types are so outnumbered that even though they're there, they're easy to contain ( ... )
