I need to find the interview where Kripke said, I believe while season two was airing, that John Winchester was a worthless and violent drunk -- apparently that was how Kripke saw him before they started shooting season one, which you get hints of in the pilot (Sam mentions John's drinking a few times), but which we never see get hints of again. I suppose the CW/Warners told Kripke to not go down that road. But the interview makes clear that Kripke still hates the character of John Winchester. It's fricking weird.

Um, wow? I have often wondered how amazing SPN could be with someone like Joss Whedon at the helm. Someone of that caliber who wrote some kickass female characters and knew how to bust ideas out sideways.

Yes, and yes, and yes. One word: DEXTER.

How can we link this post so it becomes popular? But, REALLY. So that it shows up on Wiki, on Google, and EVERYWHERE.

How fantastic would it be if Kripke read this and stopped to THINK for a second?

But I fear he would not understand half of what you're saying. He doesn't have the CAPACITY.

*sigh*

We have our imaginations instead. And hope.

Perhaps HBO can pick them up :) Or Showtime :)

The spn newsletter links to meta. If it doesn't show up there in a couple of days, I'll give them the link.

I've always said Kripke's an idiot, and listens WAY to much to rambling, crazyass fangirls on the internet because he has zero faith in his own vision (if he even has one at all) and needs the validation that he is, indeed, The Man ( ... )
