Interesting thoughts. I wouldn't call it meta, it IS a rant, but not a thoughtless one. I don't agree with a lot of the things you said, but some. I take it you'll stop watching which I find interesting in that I almost stopped watching myself last season. I suffered through Season 3. A very dissapointing experience after Season 2, because that season finale left me very excited for what was to come. But they failed to give me a meaty storyline and mythology episodes, instead I got a lot of the brothers pouring their hearts out to each other and talking and talking and Motws and gore. (I hate Motw episodes and it seemed that was all we got. I loved Angel so much because of the arc we got in every season. There rarely were any standalone eps on Angel.) No Sam character developement, no real threat, aside from randomly evil-doing demons. I was thouroughly underwhelmed

whinewhinewhine! man, sometimes i feel like all the 'fans' of this show do is whine! if a person makes a show, then that person makes a show and they make it the way they want to make it cuz it's their damn show! u don't like it, don't freaking watch it! if u wanna watch joss, u watch joss (though it amuses me how much a number of fans used to whine about joss when AtS and BtVS was on air. he only got saintified post last ep,) if u wanna watch kring i watch kring, etc etc etc, if not, don't. but some of u watch and then whine ohthefemalecharacterssuck! ohthisisaripoff! ohhowcoududothis2us! i mean, sure exchange of views is interesting and all, but attempting2correct the producer of the product? perhaps we can mail detailed instructions for them2follow! Hoo, boy. The latest SPN episode, 4x11, written by Kripke, was so bad every single person on my flist is shouting OMIGOD THAT MADE NO SENSE. Crappy myth arc, crappy character development (Dean spent the equivalent of 10 years being a mini-demon torturing others in Hell, but still wants porn first thing when he's set free? Huh.), more gratuitous female torture...
I wondered what on earth he was going to do with the character of Dean going forward, seeing as the guy has been in hell for however long. I mean, you can't simply continue as before after something like that.
Then again, god forbid we interfere with Kripke's "vision" of keeping the character illogical.

I wondered what on earth he was going to do with the character of Dean going forward, seeing as the guy has been in hell for however long. I mean, you can't simply continue as before after something like that.
