Crazy hormonal behavior

Mar 14, 2006 13:23

Okay, so I'm due next week, and I had my first attack of truly nutty behavior yesterday. The story is as follows: it's gotten a bit difficult to shave my legs in the last month or so (difficult to shave ankles you can't reach) so I've started looking a little furry. Suddenly started to worry about the possibility of going into labor and wandering ( Read more... )

Hon, if wanting to look a little pretty for the big event is your biggest hormonal meltdown - then I think you're doing just fine. :D

You sound chipper, which is wonderful - it seems like no time at all since you first let us know you were expecting - I'm so excited for you.

I know it's easy to say - and harder to do - but just relax and enjoy the experience of it.

Wishing you all the very best - keep us informed, ok? ♥

I can't believe you're due next week already! That makes three people I know due next week.

Plus the woman at the post office today who flipped open her cellphone and snarled into it "I am NOT IN LABOR YET, dear. I promise I will tell you when it happens." (Five minutes later it rang again and she sent it to voicemail!)

Heh. She needs to change her voicemail message to "No news yet, I'll let you know." <--Speaks the voice of experience. *grin*

Lol that doesn't sound crazy to me, at least. I'm all for looking pretty for very random reasons :D. That is so exciting that you're due so soon!

I guess it's not that bad, is it? A bit high on the random, but as others have pointed out, not that bad in the scheme of pregnant behavior... perhaps the best is yet to come? *grin*

Though I'm not so much the praying kind, I wish you the absolute best with this, and have been doing so, and hope everything goes just wonderfully smoothly and well.

It's so exciting! Baby! And there's loads of fun stuff in the Bay Area to take kids to. And. Yes. *knows nothing of practical baby-raising, but is enthusiastic, at least?*

So, yes. Yay!

I fear that you and I have about the same amount of knowledge re:practical childcare, but it seems like one of those things everyone learns on the job. *grin* And people far more inept than I seem to do it all the time, so I have faith that we'll be fine. *appreciates enthusiasm*

OMG, I can't believe it's so soon!! That's so exciting! You must be huge and feeling sick of being huge by now, too! I used to work in the childcare section of a center for single parents, which hosted prenatal classes and classes for new parents, etc., so I've gotten to talk to lots and lots and lots of pregnant women, and they all said that the last week or two are about the longest EVER. If we don't talk again before the big event, good luck!! I hope it goes very smoothly and well - you'll be in my thoughts and prayers! ♥

Yeah, this week is definitely the longest so far, and we're only halfway through! Thanks for the prayers and thoughts.
