I get filled with sooo much hope when I see that the Rolling Stones are still rocking. Sextagenarians! Holy crap, who could tell? Even the far younger yet still "older" U2 gives me hope (older by today's MTV standards, anyway).

Seeing Mick throw off his jacket and shake his skinny tush around like he meant it was really nothing shy of inspirational.

Throngs of businessmen let out a yawp of admiration as they bit their lower lips and their heads bobbed in awkward asynchrony with one another.

On first read, I thought you said "Thongs of businessmen". Which would have explained the odd 'dancing'.

I can always count on you to make a good day even better, can't I!

Wow. It was on CNN?

I shouldn't be surprised. The media were SWARMING the place. I don't think that that many dudes with high-powered cameras need to be that close to the friggin' stage. Bastards.

Yeah, I'm pretty lucky all right. I'd never seen 'em before. Rocked.

Yes ma'am... I was running on the treadmill at the gym and *POOF* there's a clip of the free Rolling Stones concert.

Yeah this city really has a knack for doing that. Right when I'm reading to throw in my protective Adams towel something amazing happens that I realize wouldn't happen anywhere else.

While I have always been a Beatles girl more than a Stones girl (a debate which rages through my circle of friends) I would love to see that skinny old man tush dance for me. I'd make out with his dentures any day.

Speaking of Adams towels...I hope you haven't paid good money to see that movie. I was horribly disappointed. And that's the rave review. Smax fell asleep.

In other news, I've always found the Beatles/Stones debate an interesting one. And a lot harder to answer than the one I'm used to, which is Beatles/Elvis.

I like the Stones more and more as years pass. Their stuff just takes a while to grow on me whereas the Beatles were so gosh darn catchy.

If you look closely at the picture, you'll see that actually, Mick Jagger is using his Keith Richards hand puppet.

And that is why Keith Richards cannot be killed with conventional weapons.

I thought it was a Warren Oates puppet.

It's unclear to me who is whose bitch here, and that's what makes this my favorite photo of the afternoon.

While it looks like Keith's a puppet, it also looks like Mick's a marionette.
