does that mean people just aren't coming out to vote or what? i would have expected lunchtime to be very busy. i don't understand and it's really frustrating that this isn't a priority for people in this state.

I dunno. I've heard we've had a record turn-out. A lot of people don't vote during primaries and will wait until a general election. For example, have you always voted in primaries or just this one? This is the first primary I can recall where people I knew were actually excited for it. Usually it takes until the general election before you'll see tons of people caring.

Our Obama signs are the only political signs PERIOD in our neighborhood (or on our street, as I didn't check the three cross streets). Being in a conservative area of an already conservative state, I was not surprised that our two signs were the only Obama signs, but I was a bit surprised that they were the only signs at all. I mean, no McCain signs, nothing. But I bet it'll pick up later.

Chris said there was a constant flow of people in and out of the polls when he voted after work :-)

i voted at lunch time and there was not a line. There were people there but no lines. Our polling location always seems to move people through quickly.

Also I agree that many people don't vote in the primaries. I am also guessing many republicans stayed home because they knew John McCain was going to win.
