I love this, this is wonderful! It sounds like such a fascinating 'verse - tell me you're gonna play more in it? It has so many *possibilities*....

I'm so glad you like this! I never would have thought of making Ethan Scottish till entrenous88's ficathon, but it was a lot of fun! I might just have to visit them again while Ethan house sits.

Dammit, I almost missed this and dammit, there was a Scottish ficathon? Loved this wonderful little story, the emotional connection between Giles and Ethan still as rich as ever after all those years. Loved getting taken into the world by your writing which is so textured and real. And wheee! I used to spend my summers on the Black Isle as a child, by the Moray firth. Beautiful, beautiful landscape there. I miss it and must go back as soon as I can. Still got rellies there.

Thank you, Twilight! I'm so glad you liked this. I have a feeling she's going to do the Scottish ficathon thing again - this was way too fun :-) Summers on the Black Isle? *is jealous* It sounds lovely! I had a lot of fun doing my research ::hugs::

So nicely done. I love that the most infuriating man he's ever met happens to be Ethan's brother. LOL This was such a nice piece, nice backstory. Great read.

Hee! I love this so, so much. (Of course!) It's like a three-way tennis match, the way their personalities bounce off each other (well, perhaps dodge ball would be a better analogy... ;). And this:

"You think you're the only one who can fake an accent, Ripper?"

Ha! *adores* That's a very clever way to deal with that requirement of the ficathon!

Add my voice to those requesting more, please. *hugs*

Dodgeball - hee! And I could never tell who was supposed to be dodging at any one moment :-) I'm so glad you like this. I had a lot of fun writing it once I got started.
