1) Absolutely. I was so afraid that med school would make me apathetic. Luckily (?) it seems to have made me angrier.

2) OMG, yes! They were so cute! And also the eels! They go in and out of the sand.

awww *pet pet* we've talked about, but i do know what you mean with the "nice" people. I've hit that wall on a number of political subjects (including supporting Bush) and it just becomes amazingly frustrating. I don't really think it is possible now to be all three of a. open minded, b. well informed, and c. supportive of bush & the current republican party. you can be 2 of the three, sure, but not all 3. urrrgh. anyhow, it was lovely to see you, and I am so glad you're happy :) Your boy is also very nice and seems excellent for you. even sick, i had a really good time seeing you.

hey karen,

wow, just realized how little i've kept in touch with you. didn't even realize you were at med school and what not. it's too bad the AMSA has it's issues, but at least you're standing up for what you believe in with what you're doing, and really that's the best you can really hope for. keep it up, i'm proud to call you family. of course now i should probably find out what jenny is doing at this point too. ttyl cousin.
