It is the day after Thanksgiving, it is rainy and miserable outside, and I am at work. Early. It will be a day where nothing gets accomplished - lots of "I'm sorry, you've reached the answering service" and "Wait, you guys are working today?" I've got a long day ahead of me, and I need your help, internet ( Read more... )

I'll start. I'll tell you of how the man I loved betrayed me horribly at Thanksgiving dinner. We were at Beacon Hill Bistro with my friend Lan and my folks, and had ended up ordering the same thing for dinner, salad and raised beef.

We'd also then decided that we'd split a 2-person side of mashed potatoes. The salads came and were delicious, and then the raised beef (which was more like a delicious bowl of meat goo) came, and we dug in. Only Kirk stopped 2/3 of the way through. He was "stuffed".

Sadly I, being the Consumasaur that I am, did not and instead plowed through the whole 2-person order of mashed potatoes on my own.

Woe! Sorrow! Lament! Tummyache!

But there's a happy ending! We went back to his place in Alston after saying goodbye to friends and family, and after a brief digestive snuggle, decided to play our way through Sgt. Pepper's on Beatles Rockband.

I can't think of a better way to tie off a holiday.

P.S. I'm at work too, sharing your pain.

I am pleased by the phrase "digestive snuggle". Well done. :)

You're working today? Have you changed jobs? Because as far as I'm aware, the company you work for is closed today, much to my dismay.

The call center you're interested is indeed closed, but there are still a few folks scurrying around in here.

Um. I used to helped my friend Matt Stone steal porno movies from a video store near his house. I'd distract the clerk by asking to look at kids' movies, and Matt would dash into the back and grab movies and run out of the store. We were twelve and it was awesome.
