They're endeavoring to make a live action TV Series about Wreaththu, and name it, Raythu?

My source is the bio section on Brad Carpenter, in the back of Para Imminence. But its also previousily mentioned in Paragenesis too!

They should keep the original spelling! So What do you other Wreaththu Fans Think!  To me its Wreaththu spelling or nothing!  Come Storm Constantine give us a break...don't let them change things like that now!   ( Read more... )

Seem to me, he's going for an somewhat alternate reality, rather than the usual canon Wreaththu....yuck thumbs down \/ \/ \/

Seems Mr. Carpenter isn´t going canon, but that´s hardly uncommon. Peter Jackson did follow the books but did a lot of remodelling, too, many a time not for the better, although I´d better not like to inquire which way he killed the Hobbit. Personally I would not want the Wraeththu basic story to be changed too much, and that´s exactly what seems to take place. Well, Carpenter is still writing, let´s hope he doesn´t cause us to have a coronary. As far as I can gather he will not make a film about the storyline of the Wraeththu Chronicles but create a series of the differently spelled race only. I wonder if we´ll come upon a familiar character at all! It would be a shame to see the story completely misrepresented. But I do want to have feathers in it. I remember quite a lot of them in the books, but certainly not on starved lingerie models.

Where were you looking? calgslinger December 26 2012, 09:11:13 UTC
Certainly you remember all the featherey wings on those lingerie models, how could you miss them?

As for a non-canon representation of any Hara without Thiede at least being one of them is not Wreaththu! But story abuse and greedy rash capitalization on the author's main idea. I didn't think Ms Constantine would sell out that way to make a few bucks to get her name on the screen!

If it actually makes it to the screen with such a gross misreputation I"ll be both sad and very angry.

Wrathful,Cal the Gslinger, shooting from the hip.

My sentiments exactly. I always wondered why no one wanted to make the books into a film. Perfect storyline with lot of drama. And Thiede pulling the strings. As for the feathers, they come on the scene many a time, f.i. when Arahal saves Cal in the third book as "an outlandish vision of silver and waving black feathers". Now why do I bear in mind Miranda Kerr cat-walking minus her breasts, feathers on the back and in the hair, hair dyed silver for the festive season, while Mr.Carpenter dwells among the clientele."Is this one Wraeththu at the least?" "No, that´s one of our models. She is married to an elf!" "Say word?" Mr. Carpenter is still working on how to get elves into the story, because elves do attract a lot of attention, and that´s exactly what he´s up to. The sky´s the limit! I only hope to get this image out of my head or I´ll die laughing before the day is over.
