Went to Costco and got a Brita tap filter for us.. It filters for taste as well as stuff-in-water-that-we-don't-want..

The apparatus itself and 1 filter is about $40, and a 3-pack of filters is another $40 though.. I was wondering whether we really want it or not because my parents aren't paying for it..

Well, I barely drink water at all (even the bottled stuff), so...

I think a standard Brita filter would be fine, but that's just me. How long does a filter last for?

4 months.. well, if we don't need it, I'll go return it next time I go to Costco.

Standard Brita filters (like the ones we had last year) only filter out bad-tasting agents and those filters only last 2 months.

I'm not saying you have to take it back, I'm just saying I personally wouldn't pay for it. But then I'm cheap. Like, really, really, cheap.

Well yeah, but I can't afford to pay the $80 myself.. have to save up for a proper chair and other stuff that I will need..
