It was a good thing his friends were there, to support him and fix his mistakes, because he made a lot of them. However this okay. Everyone makes mistakes. It's something many people had problem with: making mistakes, messing things up, just all around not doing things right; and though the people who make the mistakes may feel bad, their friends don't hold it against them.
You can't ask for a perfect score, a plan with out problems, or a precious stone without a scratch. It's asking for too much.
