This is annoying, and what makes it more annoying is that I'm not sure where to blog about it. Here where I can't actually specify what happened if I want to be anonymous, or on my other blog where I can't rant about it in case the other people involved might read it

People are often wimps about those sorts of, er, Sunday-night events. (I'm still working on putting a local one together myself.) My theory is that a pre-existing group of students helps. So do captive audiences. So do teenagers, who will take any excuse to stay out with their friends, even in a synagogue. ;)

You mean either captive audiences or teenagers, right? A few months ago I led a study evening for a group who were both, and it was a real uphill struggle.
