The Blahs

I think this week I finally reached the point where I feel like a burden. I normally hate to inconvenience people, but I have had no other choice this time. For the most part, I know that my true friends would be willing to help. And help they have. I have been very grateful for all their kindnesses. I feel like it’s getting more to the point that ( Read more... )

Hey, we all have to be there for one another. Your friends know the situation you are going through, and if there was an instance in which helping you out would really burden them in a way they disliked, I am sure they would let you know. Plus, I am sure people are liking the flurry of "I'll help you when you need it" rainchecks you are undoubtedly giving them :-p.

If you ever need your dog walked let me know. My dad is giving away my dog in a week (gettin' remarried, his fiancé has a dog...you know, the usual), so I will be craving dog company in no time flat. And yes, I am sure that statement was chalk full of hilarious jokes that could be made on my behalf.

Be glad you have such caring friends, and if you are really worried about becoming a grinding milestone, talk to them and see what you can do to make it so you feel like you depend(?) on them less.

Thanks for the offer John. Who knows, I may have to take you up on it. I would prefer no to though. Since we have never met, it would put things in a weird caretaker-esque frame. Not exactly the healthiest initial impression. But I appreciate the offer, that was very sweet...and I totally understand "dog company." No joke here.

Cheer up buttercup! I would be willing to help out, as long as we could have one those really interesting discussions during that time! Meh. You can never have to many people willing to walk your dog right? Feel better :)

So I barely know you (Yay for that!) - but I am always willing to get to know new people, and am down to help in whatever way that I am able to. Give me a shout if needed. I live on Capitol Hill... not totally sure where you're at... but yeah.

I'm here, yo.

After having been in a brace for 3 months when I dislocated my shoulder I totally understand. You will be less dependent, but right now you need them. If you ever need a nice dinner delivered, let me know. I may be just a LJ friend, but I'd be happy to bring you shrimp tacos or somthing.

I totally know how you feel. Let me know if I can do anything. Hell, I'll feed John and Evan too. :oP.

It's temporary, right? Not some ongoing obligation on to infinity. So this would go into the favor bank - things friends do for each other. You'd do the same for them, no?
