I'm freelance proofreading these silly trashy thrillers. They're terrible, but they're pretty entertaining, and it's easy work. The last one I did was occasionally a little sexist, but not really more so than most of the genre tends to be (a lot of helpless women). So, ok, fine

As irritating as that sounds, that's an awesome freelance job and I'm a bit jealous.

oh yeah, I'm not complaining. Largely it's easy and hilarious. It's just weird to be working on something, see a bunch of problems, and not be in a position to do anything about it.
