everything I make lately has asparagus.

Is polenta a big pain in the ass? It seems like it might be.

it's spring! So:

Asparagus, fingerling potato, and goat cheese pizza: Awesome, even with a store-bought crust.

Roasted potatoes and asparagus with parmesan: Not bad, and extremely easy.

Last week I felt legumey, this week I just felt lazy. So last week I made lentil soup (Scott ate a vegan dinner!) and black beans and rice with peppers and tomatoes (which was tasty but I think I prefer my beans and rice unadulterated by vegetables). According to the New York Times, sales of romance novels are far out-stripping (ha! see what I did there?) the rest of the book industry. The theory is that people enjoy escapism more in a grim economy. Probably Wisdom should start cranking out some nice Buddhist bodice-rippers.
