[rightawaydoctor]

[Christine is walking around the Plane, wishing she'd changed out of her uniform before she arrived. She's been on her feet all day and her boots are hurting her feet. Immediately, her heels drop a few inches down to the ground as the boots disappear, replaced with a pair of fluffy pink slippers.]

What the...? That's not normal.

[She frowns,

[Oliver steps up behind her a little uncertainly. unlike Christine, you wouldn't know he has god powers to look at him. his hair is in its usual disheveled state, and he's wearing a T-shirt and jeans like any other day]

You too, Christine?

[oliverplus]

[Oliver jumps down, hurrying over to join her. he waves off her suggestion, still generally uncomfortable with using his ability, and settles himself down on the Plane floor] Let's see it!

[rightawaydoctor]

Ok! [She giggles and thinks for a moment. Normally she'd have to do a lot of warm up exercises first, but she just imagines her muscles stretched out and ready and suddenly they are. That freaks her out a little, but she ignores it and focuses on the dancing.]

Here we go. [She moves into the proper position, waits for the right musical cue, and sets off dancing on her toes.]

[oliverplus]

[Oliver watches, impressed to say the least. ballet isn't really his bag, but Chloe has helped to teach him a little appreciation for it at the very least. and it's not every day you get a private performance, either!]

[rightawaydoctor]

[Christine keeps the performance short, both in consideration of his attention span and because she's out of practice. When she finishes, she has the music stop and she comes over to him.] What'd you think?

[oliverplus]

[Oliver claps enthusiastically] Bravo! That was fantastic!

[rightawaydoctor]

[She gives an appropriate ballerina bow.] Thank you, kind patron of the arts.

[oliverplus]

[laughs, standing up] You've got a real talent, Christine.

[rightawaydoctor]

Yeah. [No false modesty there.] Thank you. It was fun to do that again. Normally I just do the stretches and different positions in the morning before work. It's been years since I performed anything.

[oliverplus]

Yeah? You should do it more often! You know, now that you can come to the Plane and don't have to worry about time so much.

[rightawaydoctor]

I could I guess. I do miss it.

[oliverplus]

Well, why not?

[rightawaydoctor]

Well... [She ponders that.] I guess it's just hard to imagine picking it back up. When I gave up ballet, I moved onto science, and really threw myself into it. I never considered I could have both, but with this place, now I can.

[oliverplus]

[takes Christine's hand in his, his tone gentle but intent] If you don't have to give it up, don't. You shouldn't.

[there's regret in his gaze. Oliver has given up too many things, and he doesn't want to see his friends make the same mistakes]

[rightawaydoctor]

[She's a bit startled at how serious and insistent he's become all of a sudden, but she nods.] I won't then. I'll come dance here.

[oliverplus]

[smiles, relieved] Good!

I'd like to see you again sometime. I mean, if you don't mind.
