It seems that the public video site YouTube has become home to all of the 1980s music videos that the Milk Brother spent so many hours watching as a teenager. Of course, the Milk Brother's folks would not pop for extended cable, so I never saw MTV. Gender-bending and androgeny has a relatively long tradition in pop music, starting with David Bowie and the New York Dolls in the early 70s. It made the 1980s safe for straight boys to wear makeup too.

Trouble is, it's a waltz, and the bliss partner's bliss partner has, like, at last count, fifteen left feet. (Brother, just think oom pah pah, Oom pah pah, OOM pah pah, and try not to tread on the BP's feets -- nah, scratch that. Just think of a dozen callow trombones blaring the not-so-dulcet tones of "Home on the Range" and you'll do, um, fine).
