Canada's Family Day is bad for Canada, families.

All of the stores are closed. What is the point of having the day off? I can't get anything done. I might as well be at work.

Seems bad for the economy to deny me an opportunity to earn and spend money.

personally, i thought the best way to celebrate family day was to drive far, far away from them, leaving them to their own devices for a long weekend.
