Life has been crazy lately.

I'm going to San Diego next week for Comic con.

The puppy is huge, over 30 lbs. At 4 months too.

How is that you ask? Let me count the ways:

1. I went to the library to get a small book to read on my flight tomorrow. I wind up with Neal Stephenson's Anathem (It's hardback and 960 pages)
   
2. I went to Whole Foods to buy toothpaste, but bought a birthday card for my Mom.

Peter Sagal (of Wait wait, don't tell me fame), is on Talk of the Nation.
Q: Who's fault is the economic crisis?

A: Yours. Far too many people listen to Talk of the Nation rather than do productive work.

So this year was the first year that I actually got a badge to go to Owlcon, Rice's annual gaming convention. The irony of it is that I had far less free time this year compared to other years. (I think last year I had either a project or a presentation due the day after...)

I knitted him a scarf for his birthday. He's immunocomprised, and I worry about him going out in the cold. My mom said that he's been complaining about the cold alot this winter, or maybe it's just the fact that he has to take the dog out for a walk every day. Either way, I think he'll like it.

It's snowing!!!!!!!!!!!!

Blargh. All the shit that's happened in the past couple of days. I don't really feel like talking about it now, so I'll just say that fuzzy_guy, Alpha (our betta), and myself are all ok. The apartment is still standing, albeit without power. Blargh. Rice is supposed to be open tomorrow, so I'll probably be online then.
