A really weird thing that happened on Shabbat

So, I was asked to lein (=read the Torah portion) at a certain shul in Jerusalem this Shabbat (Ki Tavo). Yes, the full parashah, for any of you out there used to only reading a third). WRT leining--many shuls have the practice of splitting up the reading and having one person lein each aliyah. In a shul with that practice, it would be unusual to ask one person to do all of it, and one week would be considered short notice since it's unusual.

Wrong and weird why? Because people don't normally say brachot for the aliyot they read?

weird, because it's unusual for the places i've been to. i don't remember saying it's wrong, although when i think about it, it's probably problematic ( ... )

In Assif it depends who is present. Usually we always have the same people reading the parashah, normally 2 or 3. We often give a less experience person a chance. They often make mistakes and the more knowledgeable people correct them but that is how they learn.

Be thankful it was only in pencil. I've seen it in pen. BLUE pen, noch. And once I saw where someone had corrected mistakes with correction fluid, I jest not.
