It looked kind of like a hearing aid, and it was advertised as a "cure" for tiredness, driving while sleepy, or drunk driving. I read the details. Oh, dear! It sounds like German children don't behave like children but immature perverse teenagers. In Germany they definitely watched the wrong films. Parents just let them do anything they like. It is called anti-authority education.

This is in Israel, not in Germany. In Tel Aviv. And I *do* believe that this kid was an exception, that the vast majority still are not like this. It was shocking, though.

Yes, I don't think that German people speak Hebrew. I know you always talk mostly about Israel. I only compared it with Germany because I thought they might start the same policy in Israel now which would be very scarry.

In the UK children behave like children according to their age or stage and far as I heard there is more discipline in schools. I only have experience with nursery schools. The nursery is well organized, children learn useful things (like counting, writing their name, difference of colour and shapes etc.) and get taught how to behave. In the UK they are 0-4 in day care nurseries. When they are 5 they go to school.

Oh dear... shocking indeed.

I never was the "puritanical moralist" type but I do feel that social norms (amongst both children and adults) have deteriorated over the years.
The kid is probably not aware of what he is saying but the parents ought to be!

All the more important that you are a mamash good parent!
