Based off of Snape's words, actions, and relationships as depicted throughout the 7 Harry Potter books.

One thing I love about Severus's character is its ambiguity and inherent flexibility. The portrayal of Snape in fanfiction can be stretched in many different directions and still be enjoyable and believable.

I've recently noticed a recurring theme among Snarry fanfics concerning how Severus Snape's character is portrayed.
