So, what is the Recast Big Bang, anyway?

It's probably best to start off with what the Recast Big Bang isn't.

- It is not a challenge for general crossovers, which feature characters from two or more fandoms interacting directly.
- It is not a challenge for general AUs, which feature characters from a fandom in new and original situations.

>> This challenge is specifically for AUs which use the premise and/or plot of one fandom to create a new story for the characters of one or more other fandoms.

Also known as a fusion. :)

Yes indeed! :D We should probably stick that in the FAQ, in fact. I'm approaching it as being a little tighter than a fusion (so it's not just turning Dean and Sam Winchester into Avengers, which could be the basis for a fusion, but it's turning Dean and Cas into Avengers along with a few other peeps and they have to fight Sam because of ______ or something.) but essentially, yes, you are perfectly correct XD

But seriously, how is it that I can't even reply to this without a paragraph. Sigh.

I'd love to see Dean's bowlegs in spandex :-))))
And Jensen is totaly my Captain America. I reject reality :-)

When you have to turn in your rough draft, if you're a writer.

So question - how much of a roughdraft would be due in February? Every big bang seems to have a different requirement so I wanted to doublecheck!

I had a question, something I was unsure of and need an answer in order to continue.

I know it's a recast, but can it go beyond the scope of the story that you're recasting to add other subplots, or does it have to begin and end where the thing you're recasting begin and end?

So, question!

I'm thinking of doing a Black Jewels/SPN fusion. Do I have to follow the plot of an SPN episode, or is it enough to have the recast main characters fighting demons or other supernatural creatures?

I can do either, I just need to know first so I can start planning.
