i spent last easter under the influence in a hotel room in morro bay.
i was thinner then. with darker hair, worse habits, and ashley.

i woke up this easter in a hotel room with all my closest friends.
the night before we danced and drank and sang with our throats.

"and we liked it yeah we liked it. and we liked it yeah we liked it, we liked it."

then we stood in his old room in front of the window not saying one word.
i spent a whole summer locked up in that room but it's empty now except for a few things on the shelves and the carpet's been pulled up so my laugh echoed a little and he put an orchid leaf in my purse before we left.
